Lucky's Gotta Go!

Lucky - I guess his name suits him purty good, cause that side-winder's lucky I don't thump him a good one!

Every time I turn around, he's somewhere in the vicinity of a girl, layin' it on thick as Betsy's blackberry jam. I give him a job to do and he spends most of his time flirtin'.

I sent him out this morning to ride fence. Figured that'd keep him busy...no girls out there. Then I caught him down by the pond, cozyin' up to Miss Millie!

I don't know if I can keep him on at the ranch. When he finally gits around to doin' his work, he does a bang up job. Problem is gittin' him away from the womenfolk long enough to git him to work.

Miss Millie wants him to stay on until after the big barn dance. I don't see why. She doesn't usually interfere in my runnin' things around here.

I sure hope she ain't takin' a fancy to that scallywag!
